By now, those of you who live in the West End have likely received your WECA newsletter from
your Block Captain, letting you know that the next WECA meeting – which is one of
our semi-annual General Membership Meetings – will be held on Thursday, May 15th at 7pm, at
the Rockville Presbyterian Church (215 West Montgomery Avenue; please park
behind the church, via the Harrison Street entrance).
We will hold our Annual
Election of Officers, with the slate listed below. In addition, Eileen
McGuckian and Dennis Cain will make a presentation on “Our Neighborhood and the Battles Fought to Save It – A History of
Yesterday and Challenges of Today”. We hope you will join us and discuss.
Finally, as you look forward making plans for the Memorial
Day weekend in a couple of weeks (Memorial Day is on Monday, May 26th),
please remember all of the activities taking place right here in Rockville,
with the Hometown Holidays
